Who We Are
Our website address is: https://santerikarki.fi.
When users leave comments on the site, we collect the information provided in the comment form, as well as the user’s IP address and browser version information to facilitate spam detection.
If you upload images to this site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Site visitors can download and extract location data from images on the site.
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. This feature adds convenience because the form does not need to be filled out again each time you add a comment. Cookie information is deleted from the browser after one year. You can also request the removal of cookie information electronically by sending an email to santeri(a)santerikarki.fi.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser window.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login and display preferences. Login cookies are deleted within two days, and cookies related to display settings expire after one year. If you select “Remember Me” during login, your login information will be retained for two weeks. If you log out, login-related cookies will be removed at the same time.
If you publish an article or edit an existing one, a cookie containing the ID of the edited article is stored in the browser. The cookie expires within one day.
The site may also collect user data through plugins, such as Jetpack.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Opening embedded content imported from other sites is comparable to the visitor visiting a third-party site themselves.
Who We Share Your Data With
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the password reset email.
How Long We Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is done so that we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
We retain the information of registered users (if any) in user profile data. All users have the option to view, edit, and delete their own personal information at any time. Only the username cannot be changed. Website administrators can see and edit user profile information.
Information may be kept for a longer period if your actions are considered to violate Finnish law, and if it is necessary to file a criminal report about the activity. By commenting on the site, you agree to comply with Finnish law.
Your Rights to Your Data
If you have a user account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of your personal data, including all personal data you have provided to us. You can also request the deletion of your personal data. The right to delete your own data does not apply to personal data that we need to retain for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
